Location

Belvedere's wonderful location on the borders of Umbria and Tuscany makes it easy to enjoy the delights of both these regions, rich with artistic, historic and culinary tradition.

Quite apart from visiting the unrivalled treasures of Florence, Assisi, Perugia and so much more, you can even pop in to see one of the world's most famous paintings, Piero della Francesca's 'Madonna del Parto' after you have done your shopping at the local supermarket in Monterchi.  Drive up to our local comune of Monte Santa Maria Tiberina for panoramic views as you sip your cappuccino, or enjoy the hustle and bustle of market days in the charming local towns of Città di Castello, Sansepolcro and Anghiari: you won't have to venture far to  soak up the very essence of Italian life.

Sated with culture and art, not to mention pasta, head off for a walk in the surrounding hills, a round of golf, canoeing on the Tiber or a trip to the boats and beaches of Lake Trasimeno.  Revel in the celebration of local produce and craftsmanship at the many local festivals, particularly in late summer and autumn: we guarantee that, if you can tear yourselves away from Belvedere itself, you will not be short of things to see and do at any time of year.
